Summer is such a fun time of relaxed schedules around here, which means fewer posts on ye old blog. I’ve been ok with that lately because it means I’m spending more quality in real life time with my people, but I miss the community. I miss the comments and the link-ups – the part that is really FUN for me about blogging!
So I had an idea. Would any of you be interested in doing a Periscope book club {PBC} with me? I thought we could pick a book to read together and meet once a week on Periscope to chat about our favorite quotes, what we loved, what we’re taking away from it. What do you think? Any book suggestions?
On to the favorites, but be sure to comment so I know if you’d like to join the PBC! affiliate links are included

Wear
Evy’s Tree – A sweet friend who is doing the 21 Day Fix challenge with me sent me a gift card to Evy’s Tree – and between their brand new release of the gorgeous Josie and the great sale they had recently, I was able to grab a few pieces I just love. I’m still waiting on my Diana wrap to arrive, but so far have just loved the Josie. It’s beautiful, light, feminine and makes me feel put together – even when I wear it with yoga pants. Definitely worth the investment! Now if someone would want to surprise me with the new emerald Brooke tunic (size small .. ahem..) I’d be your friend forever {{insert all the heart eyes}}
Watch
Trip & Tyler “Poo-Poo Parents Say” – after my post earlier this week, this made me laugh so hard.
Doctor Who – If you need me on September 19th, I’ll be nerding it up in front of the tv to watch the season premier of Doctor Who (check out the trailer here!) New to the Who? Check out this great beginners guide by Sarah Bessey. Her recaps of the episodes & the conversation in the comments are some of my favorite parts of watching the show. #spoilers 😉
Read
Dancing Through Life by Candace Cameron Bure – I was blessed to win an advanced copy of this book from B&H and it is just a delightful read. An interesting peek into her Dancing With The Stars journey, but more than that, a beautiful commentary on the work God did in and through her during her time on the show, mixed with truth, grace, and wisdom. One to pre-order, for sure!
Deals
Target Toy Clearance & 20% off Cartwheel Coupon – I’d feel badly if I didn’t share some great deals with you today, too! Target has started their annual toy clearance (we’ve spotted items anywhere from 30% – 70% off, though our store rarely gets many in the 70% range) and right now there is also a 20% off clearance toys coupon on the Target Cartwheel app you can apply on top of the sale! Use your Target RedCard for the extra 5% off, and I’d say it’s a great time to stock up for birthday parties, stocking stuffers, get well gifts, and road trip toys!
Amazon Prime Black Friday in July Sale – Amazon is having an exclusive sale on July 15th, only for Amazon Prime Members! It might be a great time to sign up (the first 30 days are free!) so you can check out the sale! Here’s what you get as an Amazon Prime member:

I am both anticipating and dreading July 15! We’re Amazon Prime members and so far I’ve loved the free and fast shipping, but am disappointed that I still have to pay for most movies and TV shows I want to watch. I do better for those things using On Demand through our cable provider. But Amazon Prime is still worth the money just in the shipping savings alone. July 15 is probably going to cost me a lot of money, but maybe I can get a jump on Christmas shopping, right? I am late to Periscope but I’ve been planning to try it, so maybe a book club would convince me to jump in. 🙂

Kim I would love to have you join me! Periscope is really fun – and definitely super easy to use when you just jump in to watch/chat!
