It can be easy to feel like we aren’t enough. When we run through the list of titles we hold – the ones that never make it on to a business card or fancy letterhead, we can feel like we fail more than we succeed. Mother, wife, housekeeper, chef, writer, chauffeur, friend, sister, gardener, tech support…plus the day job that pays the bills. When the pressures of society push in and we add to them the expectations of the social media & online world, it’s easy to feel less than.
When I write for my own blog I wonder if my words actually matter to anyone.
When I write for other blogs, I wonder if my words meet their expectation.
When I see what other women are doing, how other families are traveling, how other moms are sewing Halloween costumes for their kids or making fancy bento box lunches, I doubt my “enough.”
But God tells us that we are enough. He has chosen, called, and redeemed us. We are His daughters. He has a seat for us and He has called us to do work in His kingdom on earth. God believes we are enough because we are made in His image, and He is enough.
