It’s been a crazy week, y’all. A whirlwind work trip that was equal parts amazing, crazy, and exhausting has left me desperate to just call it a night. But tomorrow is Friday, and Project Runway is on, so here I am. Blogging.
And eating one of those pumpkin spice granola bars we chatted about on Periscope last week!
You won’t be surprised that this week is again a total mish-mash of random, so let’s get to it. There might be affiliate links. I’m not sure yet because I haven’t totally thought out what I’m going to share. Let’s just assume some of these might be affiliate links, ok? Okay.

The Adventures of Rooney Cruz: Hannah – the Belle of Prayer – A few months ago Erin emailed me to see if I’d be interested in reading and reviewing their new book with Madi. By now you know I’m SUPER particular about the stories we read with our kiddo, because we end up reading them a few thousand times in a row. Great writing is a must, beautiful illustrations are preferred, and a solid take-away message feels like a bonus. Go run and buy this book for all the kiddos you know (plus it’s on sale right now on their site). I adore the story and the writing – easy to read without being cheesy, and the illustrations are some of the best I’ve seen. Diverse, age appropriate, and beautiful. The story? After reading it once with Madi she ran to tell Matt about Hannah, who had a super power that let her talk to God, and God heard her! And she taught Rooney how to pray, too, and God heard her! The only bad part is impatiently waiting for book 2 to release 🙂
Font Candy – I don’t know how much of a favorite this is, but it’s come in handy this week as I’ve had to create some fun “only X days left to buy your 31 Days shirt” graphics. Sometimes a graphic requires Canva and thought and time. But sometimes a girl just needs to throw some text on an image and get it done. I know there are hundreds of options for these (I spent WAY too much time looking through them in the iTunes store) but this one gives me the biggest bang for my buck. Which is all of zero dollars.
FashionABLE Miriam Collection Jewelry – y’all saw this announcement this week right? The gorgeous new release of the Miriam jewelry collection at FashionABLE? I immediately fell in love, and the Austin necklace jumped into my cart while I had a layover in Atlanta on Tuesday. Each piece is handmade in Nashville and the collaboration takes FashionABLE to a new level as both a global AND local company that works directly with women who have overcome challenges. Go shop their new line, and then come back & tell me what jumped into your cart!
Pepperidge Farm Pirouette Cookies – these are my weakness. Hubs can keep his Oreos, and Madi can have her Teddy Grahams. These have and always be my favorite guilty pleasure snack. Heathy? Not even a little. Amazing and dangerous because I can eat WAY too many at one time? Absolutely. Crunchy, flaky, the perfect balance of crisp cookie and yummy filling. Happiness.
Evy’s Tree Skylar – Oh man. This one is a tough one to pass up. I have a few Evy’s Tree (if anyone is in the market for a new, worn twice navy Diana for a great deal, let me know!) but generally don’t fall in love with every design. I’m not a high-end hoodie kind of gal, and I’m definitely not into ruffles. But this? The clean lines. The buttons. The color. The fact that I would live in this one with skinnies and tall boots through the fall makes me desperate to add this one to my closet. How perfect would this one be for football games and campfires? Happy sigh.

That’s it for the week, but I would be so remiss if I didn’t say two things. One, thank you so much to everyone who purchased one of the Write 31 Days challenge shirts. I’m blown away by the support for that community and really hope you love them when they arrive. Will you take a selfie & tag me so I can see them out in the real world?
And I’d love to invite you to join me for the next round of 21 Day Fix/Cize that we’re kicking off on Monday. Fitness, real food, and encouragement – three of my favorite things in one place! If you’d like more info, will you just pop me a little note in the form below & I’ll make sure you get everything you need?
I’ll see you around noon EST on Periscope to chat some more! Come with your favorites from the week so we can share!

what are you selling the Diana wrap for? It’s pretty! All these sweatshirts are gorgeous…I may be a convert!
Crystal says
Hey Bethany! I’m selling it for $50 (originally $120) plus $5 shipping. It’s a size small, but has some stretch & is reversible. Let me know if you’re interested! I’ve only worn it twice, it just hasn’t turned into the “go to” piece I was expecting (but it’s SO soft & comfy).
