I’m excited to share a few fun things with you today. On the “faith” side, it’s all about some really fun products I received to review that I genuinely think are great – plus a giveaway! On the “fitness” side it’s some favorite gear & workouts. Let’s get to it! (affiliate links included)
Faith
Jesus Centered Bible – Are you familiar with this particular version of the Bible? One of the things I like best about Scripture is the way God’s story is woven together from Old Testament to New, and this Bible uses blue lettering to highlight more than 600 passages in the Old Testament that point to Jesus. When a teacher or speaker can connect those dots for me I love it – but having it at my fingertips? Amazing. It also highlights the various names of Jesus, highlights Jesus’ words in red, and asks questions to help draw you closer to Jesus. You can visit jesuscenteredbible.com to learn more and use code JCBRFREE for free shipping. BUT I’m also giving one away 🙂 Just head down to the giveaway widget at the bottom of this post to enter!
Buddy Box – If you’re looking for a really fun, Christ-focused monthly subscription box for your kiddo, or a little one in your life, Buddy Box is really fun. Madi loved opening it with me and discovering all the treasures tucked inside. From a plush bear coin purse to activity sheets, crafts, snacks, and gifts to share with friends, it was the perfect combination of fun & learning for her. You can grab a one time gift, or sign up for a 3 month, 6 month, or yearly subscription at familybuddybox.com
SoulFeed College Care Packages – Maybe you don’t have a little one in your life, but you know a few college students? SoulFeed College Care packages put great tech gifts (like a portable cell phone charger), snacks, encouragement, and more. Plus, they make it easy by only shipping packages during regular school months, so you can sign up for one, four or 8 months at a time & never worry that it will get missed over a college break. You can learn more at soulfeed.com.
Fitness
Headphones – If you workout at a gym, headphones are essential. They’re the universal sign for “please don’t talk to me, I’m busy.” And, for me, they’re essential for pumping awesome, motivating music so I can drown out whatever it is the gym manager feels like playing that morning. If you’re a runner, a great playlist can help you keep your pace, and if you enjoy going for walks, a good set of headphones will help make sure you never miss a podcast or audiobook. I love these, from Amazon for a wireless option, or these if you dislike the in-ear style (these also include an activity tracker).
Resistance Bands – Buying a bunch of different size weights can be annoying – and expensive. Plus, when I travel, they’re not exactly the easiest to pack into my suitcase. Resistance bands are an excellent alternative, and sometimes and even tougher workout. Many of my favorite Beachbody workouts give you the option to use either hand weights OR a resistance band, and this set also includes a door anchor in case you need that for your workout.
Favorite Workouts – Since starting this whole fitness journey in March I’ve tried a bunch of different workouts. And while nothing beats the community aspect of Zumba, I’ve found a couple that I really love doing at home. The first workout I started with & still love is 21 Day Fix (and then 21 Day Fix Extreme). The workouts are only 30 minutes, use weights (which I love), and give you a good mix of cardio, pilates, yoga, and strength training. PiYo is another favorite, though to be honest I do love the Live classes in my town more than the at home workouts. But if you don’t have an instructor near you, these are incredible low-impact workouts that combine yoga, pilates & constant motion to torch calories. CIZE is probably the most fun of the three, and my go-to on the days when I just need my workout to be a dance party. Learn a few hip hop routines while getting in an awesome cardio workout – this one is perfect to invite a few friends over to do with you!
There’s the round up for this week! Be sure to enter the giveaway to win that Jesus Centered Bible (it’s an NLT translation, in case you wondered). Good luck!
I have never seen that Bible – shock horror!!! I will totally be checking it out the next time I am at a bookstore. I’m a hands on gal and need to pick a Bible up before I buy it! 🙂
What an awesome Bible! I like switching it up from time to time with different translations or different study Bibles, and was just pondering which one to start next now that I’m into Revelation again. Perfect timing. AND it comes in different colors?!?!? What a great gift to give, too! <3
