You love me even though I just butchered that song lyric to fit my blog post title, right?
{grin}
We can’t help these year-end reviews, can we? There’s something sentimental about the end of the calendar, that last month flipping over to a new beginning that makes us reflect on the last 12 months. I don’t know about you, but each year seems to go faster and the looking back gets harder. I feel as though I’ve been living in a state of permanent sleep deprivation (thank you, toddler) and I know I missed moments I should have cherished {which leads into my “word” for 2015, but I’ll post about that on Saturday.}
In 2014:
- I started my full-time job working from home for (in)courage, and I’ve loved every minute of it! What a crazy, over-the-top blessing that has been!
- I wrote a book proposal, submitted it, then decided I didn’t want to write a book after all. At least not that book. At least not this year.
- I started speaking at events, which has only been by the grace of God because this introvert has to fight ALL THE NERVES every time. But God is good and hasn’t let me fall flat on my face! My “word” this year was capable – to remind me that I’m not, but God is..and He gave me plenty of opportunities to learn it!
- I traveled a lot. More than I ever thought I would, and while I miss my people terribly, I do love that part of my job – getting to meet so many of YOU face-to-face!
- I’ve been invited to be on more podcasts that I can count and I simply adore them. And your comments, emails, encouragement? It means the world to me. Even when I’m incredibly lazy and take 4 months to respond to your note. Ahem.
- I wrote for 31 days straight in October and had encouraging conversations – on video – with some of my favorite people. One of the highlights of my year, for sure! And there will be some news about that whole “31 Days” thing eventually…hehe…so stay tuned 😉
- Madi turned 3 and Frozen took over our home. Let it go….let it go..just let the song go bye-bye…
- My virtual assistant business turned into a VA consulting business and I was able to help several other amazing VAs start their own businesses! I learned that I love sharing what I know with others – whether it’s social media and graphics or virtual assistant start up steps.
- My nephew Alex was born and I can’t wait for even more snuggles with him in 2015 🙂
The Favorites
One of the things I loved doing the most here on the blog was sharing my “what I’m loving” posts – such a fun way to have a little girl-talk! So here’s a round-up of some favorites of the year (affiliate links included).
Favorite Books

Favorite Workouts
Favorite Events

Favorite Posts
- Plate Spinning, Juggling & Letting Go of Perfection

So that’s the round up of favorites for me this year. Did I miss something you think should have been on the list? Did you do your own year-end recap and want to share the link in the comments for me? I’d love to hear from you!

I love your year end recap. I would have to say one of my favorite things was to meet you at Allume this year. We connected early in the year through Five Minute Friday. I have watched from afar how God has worked in your life and though you. Just to see the little bits you have shared have been such an encouragement to me. Thank you for showing us that God is great and has a plan for us.

It was a crazy lip balm Christmas around here – I got 4 EOS spheres, Madi got one, plus about 20 tubes of various Frozen/Princess chapstick! If anyone has chapped lips, we can help you out 😉

I love recap posts! That’s awesome about your VA business. I still need to read The Best Yes. Can’t wait to hear what your 2015 word is. I’m still praying about mine.

I honestly didn’t think I’d have a word for 2015..but God just wouldn’t let it go 😉 Fun how it works that way sometimes!
