I received free products in order to host the Disney Kids Preschool Playdate from Walt Disney World Resort and MomSelect. All opinions expressed here are my own.
For several weeks Madi has been asking to have her friends over for a playdate. Combine that with the fact that we have been planning our fall trip to Disney World for her 5th birthday, her favorite shows are all on Disney Junior, and our best free weekend fell over Easter and we were on board for a Disney Kids PreSchool Easter playdate.
I’m not really a “Pinterest” mom – I love the IDEA of hosting beautifully decorated parties in our home with lovely decorations, creative games, and fancy snacks but I’m not great at actually executing on all of my party ideas. So when MomSelect and Walt Disney World Resort sent us a box full of everything we needed to host our party, we were thrilled! Madi helped unpack the box and, while she thought everything in it was great, I’m pretty sure she thinks she’s some kind of Disney VIP with her new Sophia the First suitcase from American Tourister!
So I messaged some friends and we decided to get together this past Saturday for an Easter playdate. Madi helped stuff over 100 Easter eggs, we won the entire kid crowd over with a GIANT container of cheese puffs (and the mamas with some mimosas), and we had one of the most relaxing & fun playdates we’ve ever had at our house.
There is nothing more satisfying than the sound of kids running around the house laughing – especially when the day is nice enough for the adults to sit on the patio and catch up. This age is so fun for us – we can trust the kids to play on their own without totally destroying the house, they take care of one another (the older kids were serving up “seconds” of cheese puffs for the little ones) and at the end of the day, even though there were gifts and candy, the highlight for all of us was the time spent with friends.
I don’t know that we would have found a reason to invite everyone over if I hadn’t received these Disney Kids items, to be honest. We’re a family of introverts who love our people dearly but don’t often plan events like this outside of birthdays. But this has turned into one of my favorite Easter memories and something I’m so glad we were able to do as a family (bonus: we got to avoid all the crazy public Easter egg hunts because we were hosting our own. WIN.)
It was so fun to watch the kids going through their Disney Junior bags to see what they received – I don’t often receive free products as a blogger, but when I do the blessing is absolutely in sharing it with others. I donate a lot of books to our church library, I like to do giveaways of products I review, and being able to share this gift with Madi’s friends reminded me why I do really love the blogging community.
The internet is full of generous, thoughtful, family-friendly companies and I feel so honored to partner with them as often as I can. My personal favorite were the HP Photo Strips that work with the PocketBooth app – WAY too much fun, and sadly my printer was running out of ink so I didn’t get them printed the way I was hoping quite yet. But this is a brilliant app and such a fun way to incorporate a photobooth into your event without the huge cost.
In case you wanted to shop some of the companies that kindly shared their products with our party, here’s a handy dandy list for you (affiliate links included):
- HP Photo Booth Strips
- I Love to Create
- Banfield Pet Hospital’s book “My Very, Very Smelly Breath”
- Disney Sandwich Bags (ours were GLAD but I couldn’t find them online to link to)
- ALL Free & Clear
- Nesquik
- American Tourister Sophia the First Suitcase
This is such a fun stage for our kiddo, and I have to admit Matt & I love the shows she watches on Disney Junior just as much as she does. Sophia, Lion Guard, and PJ Masks are staples around here and we’re all more excited than ever to meet our favorite characters when we head to Florida this fall. Disney has a way of bringing family and friends together to make beautiful memories, and it was fun to be able to do that at home this Easter!
Thank you again to Walt Disney World Resort and MomSelect for the free products received in order to host the Disney Kids Preschool Playdate. All opinions expressed here are my own.
