It’s that time of the week again, when I get my act together and share some of my favorite things! Affiliate links are included below – happy reading!
Read
Pressing Pause: 100 Quiet Moments for Moms to Meet with Jesus by Karen Ehman & Ruth Schwenk
This is an absolutely beautiful devotional. I love how the cover feels and I really appreciate how encouraging (and short!) each daily devotional is – and the included questions and notes sections make it easy for a busy mama to spend time in the Word without feeling overwhelmed. I don’t have a lot of extra time in my day – it’s why I picked a 22 minute workout (see below) and I really appreciate the way these two wonderful women have come together to create a devotional that offers hope to so many areas of my life. My favorite right now is Ruth’s devotional called “More than a Mom” – a beautiful conversation about our identity in Christ.
The Happiness Dare by Jennifer Dukes Lee
Her book cover is a photo of candy, y’all. Candy. It’s the most darling thing and I can’t wait to read Jennifer’s newest book when it comes out. I struggle sometimes to claim happiness or seek joy. If it doesn’t feel serious, I assume it’s frivolous, not worth my time, and definitely not something God would care about. But I know God cares about every piece of our lives, and I’m really looking forward to learning how to chase joy in a way that pleases Him.
Wear
Cross Training Couture – I adore this line and was happy to grab a few new pieces the other week when they were having a sale. If you live in “athleisure” like I do, you’ll love these encouraging messages and incredibly comfortable shirts!
Ja-Vie Flats – In my corporate America days I lived in heels. Now as a mama who works full-time at home and has a four year old to chase around, my fancy shoes are saved for holidays and Sundays. But my Ja-Vie flats are my new “go to.” Of course I have the sparkly ones, and I’m sure I’ve shared about them before – but they have the CUTEST spring designs out right now. I don’t know how much I’d wear them, but I’m loving the “Palm Tree” flats!
Workout
I honestly can’t tell you how much I’ve loved the 22 Minute Hard Corps program the last 2 weeks. The women in my accountability group are brave and fierce and funny and real. We’re getting stronger, together. And Beachbody is committed to giving back so that others can be stronger, too. and they’ll make a $5 donation to “The Mission Continues,” a non-profit organization that “redeploys veterans on new missions in their communities, so that their actions will inspire future generations to serve.” The goal was to raise enough money for 50 veterans and we’re at 43 – will you help me do my part to help them reach that goal?
Not into bootcamp style workouts? Want to save 25% on your orders (no monthly sales requirement, no monthly purchase requirements)? Send me a note I’ll get you the information you need!

Win
If you follow on me on social media (or occasionally read these blog posts), you might have noticed that I have a new Creative Basics course starting April 4th. And you might have noticed that there are some PRETTY awesome bonuses that come along with the purchase of the course. But maybe “free” is more your speed? Well – today is your lucky day!
One of you will win a free copy of the “Creative Basics” course – bells, whistles & all. Yay! Just follow the giveaway widget below and I’ll choose a winner on Tuesday (3/29). Good luck!
Oh and I might have started a Facebook page. If you’d want to “like” it, I’d be honored. I don’t know yet how it will be different than my usual Facebook posts, but it felt like the right time. I like the idea that I can coach in a lot of different ways. Faith, fitness & friendship – it all needs a cheerleader. Someone who can encourage and inspire and motivate you do try new things, right? And I’m waiting to get “verified” so I can do live chats over there! Yay! Annoying Facebook processes! Woohoo!
