WHAT IS THE “BEHIND THE SCENES” LINK UP?

“Behind the Scenes” is a fun link up where we show those photos – but tell the real story behind them. The sneak peek behind the scenes, a look past the edges of the photo to the real life behind it. Read more here!

The Story:
It was last minute. I stumbled across the information for the Beth Moore simulcast accidentally as I tried to find information for a project. I knew that there would be a simulcast. I even knew I would love to go to it, but I had a feeling it somehow conflicted with other plans we would have.
Doesn’t it always work that way?
I sent a quick email to a few friends, not wanting to commit to a full day event by myself. Nope. This introvert likes nothing less than walking alone into a room full of women she doesn’t know, trying to find an open seat at the table.
Two of them said “yes” – and then? You know those plans that always interfere? Would you believe I failed to remember that my husband’s band had two shows that same day? Two. But God wanted me to hear the message Ms. Beth (in her stunning yellow tunic & cute hair) had to bring that day because not only did both sets of grandparents agree to hang out with the kiddo (thank you. thank you. thank you.), she even took a good nap!
The room was filled with more than 200 women, joining thousands world wide to praise God and hear a good Word, the way only Ms. Beth can deliver. Oh. She delivered. Behind the scenes? God was putting something big on my heart. Affirming a path He’s called me to travel. Encouraging me to just let. it. go. To stop feeling obligated to see myself the way I’ve been viewed in the past, and to walk confidently as His daughter.
To believe that God Sized Dream? It will happen. In His time.
Love it when God clears the path AND confirms a message. Beautiful. Thank you for this, the encouragement to hold fast to those God-sized dreams, and for hosting this link up. I enjoy it so much!
Love!!! Go forth! 🙂
LET.IT.GO, girl. We are a daughter of The King and I pray that is how you always see yourself. Follow that dream He has planted in your heart because I for one can’t wait to see all the awesome ways He is going to use you.
I’m always so thankful that we have grandparents near by in moments like those. Something I try to not take for granted. Sounds like a great event.
Beautiful 🙂 I felt the same way going into small group on Sunday. Thankful for hand holders 🙂
I’m so glad He worked things out so you could go, friend. Awesome! 🙂 Blessings and happy Tuesday to you…hope it’s wonderful!
