It’s time to say “good-bye” to our sweet little link-up.
Yep, that’s right. There’s no link-up here today. I’ve so enjoyed reading all of your stories and have loved the community that it’s built. I’m praying for God to give me a vision for something new that we can all do here, so that your voices and stories can continue to be shared, but right now? I feel God telling me it’s time to let the chapter close on this one.
But that doesn’t mean I’m leaving you without a place to share those amazing and wonderful “behind the scenes” moments! My friend Jessica Turner had a vision for a new link up on her blog that would take those great “Throw Back Thursday” photos that everyone shares and invite you to tell the story behind it! God’s timing is brilliant and I learned about her new link up on the same day I spent time asking God to provide an opportunity for more margin in my life. I trust all of your stories and your hearts over at Jessica’s space (plus, she’s a WAY bigger blogger than me and so it will really be a win/win all around!). So those posts you might have written for today..will you go over Thursday and link them up with her? You’ll likely see me linking up over there as well & joining you, assuming I can find a few “throw back” photos that aren’t horrendous. Oh stirrup pants and matching sweaters. And perms. And purple glasses.
Sigh.
Thank you to each of you who has ever linked up, shared a story, commented, or shown interest in this idea that we need to share the real life stories behind our overly edited & perfect online lives. I’m still completely passionate about living authentically, and I can’t wait to see what God has planned for the next chapter of this community. I’m totally open to ideas, by the way, so feel free to leave your best brainstorming in the comments 😉
Share your stories. Live authentic lives online AND in real life so that no matter where someone meets you they see Jesus shining brightly. That’s what “behind the scenes” was meant to reveal – the real, hard, funny, ordinary moments that God can use to connect His daughters beyond zipcodes and timezones.
And if you never signed up for my email list or you did but never received this, you can download my little “Behind the Scenes” eBook here. It’s yours, free.

Crystal, I love this call to live authentically online and offline. I always find it so hard to let something I’ve grown to love go, but it’s amazing when God uses that extra margin to draw us closer to Him or show us something new. Hope you have a happy weekend!
