It’s 5 Minute Friday time again! Which is perfect because that’s all the time I have before heading out with hubs 🙂
Now, set your timer, clear your head, for five minutes of free writing without worrying about getting it right.
1. Write for 5 minutes flat – no editing, no over thinking, no backtracking.
2. Link back here and invite others to join in.
3. And then absolutely, no ifs, ands or buts about it, you need to visit the person who linked up before you & encourage them in their comments. Seriously. That is, like, the rule. And the fun. And the heart of this community..

OK, are you ready? Please give me your best five minutes on:::Stretch…
GO
I’m in a place of pulling. Constant giving, pouring out of myself, stretched thin in too many places. My mind is fragile, disorganized. I’ve been told I’m burnt out, doing too much and yet those pulls, the things that stretch my abilities and time – they aren’t going away.
I’m out of my comfort zone, challenged too much and not able to do the things I used to enjoy. My job stretches me to new places, unfamiliar placed. My family – new, moving through the first 9 months of raising a daughter of the King – they need. And I give. Because “other duties as assigned” is what I do, in the 9-5 and the 2 a.m.
I scrape time together to sit and find comfort in the Word and even then, He stretches me. Never condemning, but always growing. It’s exhausting, but it’s where He has me in this season. So I fill in time to stop, to regroup, to try to fill up those places stretched thin by the needing, and He fills.
And we do it all again.

My kids are older now, but know what it’s like to feel stretched beyond your limitations. Even now, working full time and raising teems and pre teens, I often feel stretched beyond capacity. So thankful for His grace. Stopped over from 5MF!

sweet, sweet, how wonderful that you can see it’s only for a season! when I was being stretched like that, i couldn’t see the forest for the trees, and I’m not sure i ever stopped long enough to notice how much emptying was going on until the tank was completely dry. praying you will continued to be filled to the brim with the fullness that comes from His Hand! dropped in from 5-min friday!
