The Countdown Begins!

Everyday faith

Oh hello blog. I’ve missed you. Between working long hours, being super pregnant, and everything else we have going on right now, I’m sad to say that my blog posts were the first to be cut. But I’m off work today, cookies are baking, laundry is in, and I have a few minutes to write. Ahhhhh. It’s good to be back.

Everything with Madison is going very well. I’ll save you the “TMI” post and just say that my doctors are very happy, Madison is doing her thing, and since she’s officially 37 weeks now, they said she can arrive any time she likes. For very selfish reasons, I hope she waits until after Nov. 7th (hubs & I have a little getaway planned) but arrives before Thanksgiving (because who wants to eat turkey in the hospital?). It’s only by the grace of God that I’m calm about the timing….well, calm about having no control over the timing! I’m a bit of a scheduler. It’s true. Type A, all the way {wink}.

I’ve now officially crossed everything off my “things we need before we bring a baby home” list, so I’m feeling like we’ll be ok whenever she decides to make her arrival. Unfortunately, I have no idea what to do with half of the things that are now in our house, but when we decide that we need them, we’ll be ready! I just need a few more brain cells to be able to figure it all out 🙂

Here are some updated photos of our finally finished nursery. Ignore that there are patched holes in the wall..hopefully those will be painted. Soon. Ahem.

We finally found a rug for the nursery and I love it! So soft 🙂

Cute storage…check!

Take a peek at that fabulous crib skirt…thanks Kari 🙂

We thought a low wattage light would be nice for those late night/early morning trips to the nursery, so we found a super cute (and inexpensive) wall sconce at Lowes.

Love our chair. See that cute little table to the left of it? Yep. Walmart. $30. Took 5 minutes to assemble. It’s perfect 🙂

Isabella’s first gift for Madi…I love the glitter!

Adore this cute little owl from I Sew Lucky – she fits right in

Thanks Sarah! We’re definitely at the countdown stage now. Matt had a rough day yesterday and said all he wanted to do was come home & hold his daughter (cute!). Can’t wait for you guys to meet her!
