The ABCs of Me

Last night I received my usual lovely email from the LPM Blog (where Siesta Mama herself Beth Moore blogs) and it had this fantastic little alphabet “get to know you” thing in it. Which I promptly had to steal because this girl has no brain power to come up with a good blog post today. 

Pass the coffee.

A. Age: 29

B. Bed size: King. Hubs debated me for a LONG time on this one. He thought our full bed was fine. Until we actually purchased this one. He acknowledges frequently how right I was {grin}

C. Chore that you hate: There are chores people don’t hate? Ok if I had to pick one, it would be dusting. I would rather clean a toilet than dust. I just never feel like I get anywhere, and all the dust settles in new spots and then I sneeze for days.

D. Dogs: No thanks. We’re cat people. Until our cats kick the proverbial bucket. Then we’ll be petless people so I can stop breathing in ALL THE FURBALLS.

E. Essential start to your day: Gym + Bible study + coffee = Hello Mornings! Seriously. Hubs claims I am a nicer person when I’ve been awake and on my own for over an hour. I think I’m just as nice snuggled in bed asleep, but who knows. 

F. Favorite color: Love all colors fall – deep purples, golds, browns

G. Gold or Silver: When I was little I heard my aunt tell someone that she hated gold jewelry and only wore silver so I thought that was the thing to do. Until last year, when I realized mama loves her some rose gold jewelry! Hot dang it looks good on me 🙂

H. Height: 5′ 4″

I. Instruments you play: Play, or play well? Because I can technically play the clarinet (band geek!), I really don’t play anything proficiently 

J. Job title: Assistant Vice President, Project Management and Marketing Officer

K. Kids: One lovely little peanut, Miss Madison Sophia, age almost 10 months {weeping…time is flying}

L. Live: South Central PA. I specify the “south” part because I may have a tendency to say “y’all” and I feel like that absolves me from ridicule. Ahem.

M. Mother’s name: Sherry 🙂

N. Nicknames: The fam sometimes calls me Chris, but other than that, no nicknames

O. Overnight hospital stays: Being born, tonsils removed, giving birth

P. Pet peeves: Fidgety people. College students who walk in the middle of the road. The guy at the gym who SITS on the machine I want to use but doesn’t actually work out. He drinks coffee. And stares. Ew.

Q. Quote from a movie: uh…I don’t really…um…watch…movies…{hangs head in pop culture shame}

R. Right or left handed: Righty – though I think I would have been a lefty if my grandfather hadn’t kept moving my crayon to the right hand. Or so the story goes.

S. Siblings: Identical twin sister! No, I don’t feel pain when she gets hurt. No, we’re not psychically connected. Yes, we did buy sneakers on the same weekend once in college when we were 4 hours apart. No, we never switched classes in elementary school and tried to trick our teachers. We are boring twins. 

T. Time it takes you to get ready: I can be showered, dressed, make-up’d, and out the door in 30 minutes if I’m in a rush. 

U. Ultimate Vacation: While I would love to go to Ireland, I’d really like to go to Australia to meet Ezra and hang out with Karen & Joel 😀

V. Vegetable you hate: Cauliflower. Gag.

W. What makes you run late: My daughter. And my husband. I move at a more urgent pace than they do. 

X. X-Rays you’ve had: Teeth, fractured arm, um….I think that’s it

Y. Yummy food that you make: Ha! I don’t cook. Though apparently I used to make (like 10 years ago) a lasagna recipe that hubs loved. But neither of us know where it came from. So I let him do all the cooking, because he loves it and is amazing.

Z. Zoo animal: Giraffes! We visited the drive-through safari at Six Flags one time and I could not stop loving the giraffes. They’re just….awesome….
