Learn from Others

31Days, holy hustle, Time Management

Time Management Tip: Don’t work in bed

Boundaries are important. When you’ve established your goals, prioritized your to-do list, and started in the habit of spending your mornings with God, you’re ready to get to work. But knowing when to shut work off and how to keep it separate from your personal space is just as important as setting up your work space. In order to rest well, we can’t carry our work with us. And in order to maintain healthy relationships, we need to prioritize people over our projects. Technology is an incredible tool for us to use to stay connected with others and do great work, but it has it’s place – and that place isn’t in bed, keeping us distracted from our loved ones and ruining our rest. Leave your computer in your designated work space, stop checking emails on your phone, and grab a good book or have a meaningful conversation. You’ll sleep better AND be more productive the next day.
