We’re in the home stretch now! Only a few more days to go and we’ll be wrapping up our journey from jealousy to joy. I thought it would be fun to spend the next ten days doing some joy challenges together. Are you in?
Each day I’ll post a new joy challenge – something simple we can do to help cultivate more joy in our lives. These will be tools we can use to help retrain our brains as we continue this last portion of our journey. None of them will take a long time but hopefully they’ll each have a lasting impact.
Joy Challenge #1 – Find a Scripture that speaks to your heart in a special way and keep it nearby.
Whether you write it on a notecard, make it the lock screen on your phone, or tape it to your mirror, find a way to spend the next 10 days intentionally reading one specific Scripture. Ask God to guide you to His Word to find something specific for your circumstances and the specific areas where you struggle with jealousy. Make time each day for the next 10 days to read your Scripture at least once, asking God to help bring it to mind when you feel your jealousy triggers engaging.
Questions:
- What Scripture did you choose?
- How will reading Scripture help you find joy instead of jealousy?
- Who in your life might be encouraged by the Scripture you chose?
