See.
I told you I’d be back with another one if these. I just can’t help myself, and with so many amazing sales happening this weekend for Labor Day, you can bet we’re headed to the outlets at some point! And also the Corn Festival. Yep. It’s a thing. A big thing in my town, actually. Between that and all the college students being back in town, traffic in our normally sleepy little town is chaotic. Let me give you a hint if you come visit me – we do not have a great track record for stopping for people in crosswalks. It’s a risk you take, especially if you dart out in front of my car and your crosswalk sign hasn’t even told you to walk.
I haven’t rolled down my window to yell at anyone yet.
This year.
Anyway – on to the fun things I’m loving. And because there are affiliate links included in this post, I need you to know that I only post things I truly love and if you happen to click through & make a purchase, I’ll be paid a commission at no additional charge to you. But with lots of my gratitude forever and ever, amen.
Clothes
I’m more than a little in love with these shoes. Since becoming a full-time work at home mama, my fancy high heels are no longer part of my daily wardrobe. I’m becoming a “flats” girl – and these are the most fabulous pair I’ve found. Plus, everything I’ve heard about them says they’re incredible comfortable, you can fold them up to fit in your purse and they even have some vegan options. Which is cool if you’re in that sort of thing.
If you have known me for any length of time you realize I live in flip flops in the summer and scarves in every other season. The ones in this photo are from their summer line, but FashionABLE just released their Fall looks and I am in LOVE with them. They also have great infinity scarves in some of the most popular school colors, so you can rock your cute scarf at a football game this fall. Plus, your purchase helps create sustainable business in Africa to provide opportunities for vulnerable women. Which is awesome.
ModCloth Floral Fascination Jacket
So I have this fascination..obsession..whatever with Emma Approved, and I adore nearly every outfit “Emma” wears. And most of them are from ModCloth – this super fun site that has a vintage feel with some really unique pieces. And maybe a Doctor Who Matt Smith coffee mug. Maybe. It’s a great site if you’re looking for something special, or a home decor item for a gift that no one else will have (like a mirror with antlers if that’s your thing).
Anyway – my other recent obsession is this kimono style cardi – my sweet friend Eryn has worn hers the last two years to Declare and I keep wanting to steal it from her. Buying one is probably the more ethical option though 🙂
Books
I’m currently about halfway through several books, which makes my head hurt a little because that’s not usually how I do things. But Interrupted by Jen Hatmaker and Speak by Nish Weiseth are both phenomenal books. Interrupted is doing all kinds of crazy things to my head and heart in some really exciting ways, and I can’t wait to see what God is up to. Also, she’s hilarious and tells the best stories.
Nish is the founder of Deeper Story and has such a passion for using story in a way that truly matters – to tackle those big topics and the one thing I really love about her book is that she includes blog posts at the end of the chapters with reader comments that really show how “words matter” – how someone’s life was touched or their mind was changed or they’ve done something because of the story that was shared. It’s encouraging and challenging.
All The Other Fun
These yoga mats come highly recommended by people who..you know..do yoga for a living – and this one happens to be on sale as part of their summer clearance! Woot! All of their mats are also designed to be as eco-friendly as possible, so you can feel awesome AND look awesome. Win/Win.
Rubbermaid Lunch Blox (Set of 3)
One of the things that my kiddo loves to eat are those Lunchable things – you know, with the random meat circles and cheese block that feels like wax. I can’t say I love giving them to her, but in a pinch they’re great if she needs a snack on the go. And then I saw that these were on sale at Amazon and realized I could easily make her little snack boxes full of identifiable food. I mean, she won’t get meat circles, but at least I’ll know whether it’s ham, turkey, or pepperoni! {email subscribers you might have to click over to the blog to get the link for this one}
So, those are some fun things I’m loving lately. What have you discovered online that you just can’t live without? Any good deals happening for Labor Day weekend in your area?

Love this. Now you’re making me want a fascination jacket – I didn’t even know that’s what they were called, but now I do! Thanks!
And I agree on the books – both fabulous.
I’m getting ready to do my What I’m Loving post – thanks for the push to get it done! xo
P.S. Buy all the fashionABLE scarves. They’re ALL marvelous.

Right? I just keep searching random sites for “that cardi that looks kind of like a kimono but isn’t”…I’m sure that’s helpful 😛
