Time Management Tip: Give yourself grace
There are days when the work just won’t get done. Our families will need us and our to-do lists will be shoved to the side to make room for the people in our lives. There are months when we won’t feel like we’re making any progress toward our goals, our passions, or the dreams we know for sure God gave us. There will be seasons of inspiration and seasons of drought. There will be years that drag forever, when all we can do is stay obedient in the small moments of right-here faith. And that’s ok.
Give yourself grace and trust that God is not going back on His promises. Embrace the waiting seasons as opportunities to rest, learn, and grow. One day those doors will open, the tasks will be completed, and you’ll check those goals and dreams off your list. And when that time comes, in God’s perfect timing, you will have all the tools you need to do what God is asking as you work hard and rest well. You’ll be ready for holy hustle.
Inspiration: “Work is a blessing. God has so arranged the world that work is necessary, and He gives us hands and strength to do it. The enjoyment of leisure would be nothing if we had only leisure. It is the joy of work well done that enables us to enjoy rest, just as it is the experiences of hunger and thirst that make food and drink such pleasures.” ― Elisabeth Elliot, Discipline: The Glad Surrender
