1 crazy God Sized Dream
4 email addresses
11 emails in 3 minutes
4320 email in one day
60,480 emails in 2 weeks
Ok…that might be a slight exaggeration. I really did get 11 emails in 3 minutes the other day though, which made my husband’s jaw drop when he was using my phone to check ESPN. I wish I could say that was unusual, but really? That was probably on the low end of my emails that day 🙂 So if this post doesn’t make any sense, those numbers might be why. Also? A toddler.
Pass the chocolate.
Red. Have you ever stopped to think about a color that would best define your personality? The one that has the descriptions that best fit YOU like maybe you were supposed to be a special hue in the Crayola box? If I had to choose a color to describe me, it would most definitely be red.
I’m Irish enough to believe there is a fiery red head deep down inside, even if my German roots have taken over this brunette faux-hawk. I’m emotional, empathetic, feisty, and have been known to stand my ground a time or ..ahem..two…in the name of justice. Or just as a driver in Philly 😉
It’s the color that makes me feel like ‘me’ when I wear it…and the “me” I want to be. Fun. Brave. Creative. Interesting. Unexpected.
Linking up with Lisa-Jo Baker and the Five Minute Friday gals today. Cheering big for an early prompt posting 😉

Have you heard of The Color Code? It’s a book about personality types that puts personalities into colors. Of course, from what I already know of your personality, you’d be White according to that book. 😉 But my friend Everly (who will be at Allume this year!) has Synesthesia and it’s fascinating to hear her color take on things. 😉
I have a pair of shiny red patent leather shoes that make me feel happy, and lots of kitchen stuff in a deep, dark red–I don’t wear red very often, but you’re right, it’s a happy, unexpected color :).

Are you even close to serious about the numbers of those emails? Mercy girl! You are too cute. And for some reason, when I think of you, I think of orange. You seem so happy and bubbly and your smile makes me smile. And they say orange and red together are appealing and cause people to buy products in that color combo! LOL So there you go. You are a great color combo. ~

Oh my! Love this! I’m lovin’ what red does to people. I love that it gets some all fired up like a ninja (you), and others want to shy away from red’s glaring spotlight (me). You are definitely red. 🙂 Super fun post, Crystal!
Cute post dear girl!!! So fun! I think I need to wear more red…I need me some of that!
Lovely Messes says
You sound like you are so much fun, I can’t wait to hopefully meet you at Allume!! And I think for me I would choose yellow. I like to be happy and encouraging with a constant smile!! Maybe one of those glitter crayons to show my creative side!
Faith Lohr says
LOL too funny!
Um. So you go email her my blog/name/whatever and ask her what color I am 😉 I feel like I would love to know that, but that seems stalkerish, yes?
thanks Karen! welcome 🙂
i agree completely. i haven’t found a kind of busy-ness yet that doesn’t pair well with chocolate 😉
i feel like I have a cool new nickname now! “red”
hmm…I say that’s “grounded”…not dingy 😉
favorite. comment thread. ever. i snorted coffee reading the yellow/purple line. and y’all are welcome to party it up here any time!
I think I have “rest” scheduled for sometime the week of the 16th 😉
Amen, girl. Amen.
it’s been a week of “hand over the chocolate chip cookie the size of my head, and no one gets hurt”…I’d share…if I had any left 🙂
orange isn’t so far off 😉 lol and yes, come hug-tackle away, girl! (this taurus can take it!)
I can definitely see you as that beautiful blue 🙂 calm, steady, peaceful..yep!
ha! mine wasn’t too far off the rabbit trail…can’t imagine what it would have been like at midnight!
Printing out this line & putting it on my computer: “…that God’s fire will burn in you so you don’t burn out”
aw thank you Mollianne!
ooh…we love candy corn here. though I bought a bag of the candy corn m&ms, hoping for greatness….meh….
Yep! Pink & sparkly is SO you 😀
So true, right?
I learn from the best 😉
Oh yes, you’re red fo sho! Have you heard about people who have Synesthesia? I know Emily Freeman is. She sees letters and numbers as colors. I wonder what you’d be? I find it fascinating and also, it’s like 2 am right now so I really need to go to bed because yes I am hijacking your comments and having my own party here. Here’s a link in case you didn’t have enough to do. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Synesthesia
Truth. and why we love your yellow-purple self. See? I missed the fmfparty too so here we go. Partying it up in the comments at Crystals.

LOVE it! stopping by your blog from FMF … I never thought about what color fits my personality … I will have to think about that 🙂

Wow! You pack a punch in a paragraph lady! lol. You are busy…and chocolate seems appropriate for all of that kind of busy-ness!
Karrilee Aggett says
I can totally see you as ‘Red’ – in all the best ways, my friend! In all your spunky fun, bold Ninja like ways!
So fun. Love this. Love your faux-hawk. Red is definitely not my color. I love brown. So, I’m dingy? Maybe?
Jessica Hoover says
Promise I am not drunk commenting. You should know me well enough by now to know that I can say the darndest things completely sober.
Jessica Hoover says
Ah, yes, and how we all love your “red” personality. Me? I’m more of a puce. Isn’t that like a Oscar the Grouch kind of green? No? Yes? Ok, really I’m a yellow I think with shades of purple. Is that not a possible color combination? Well, it is late and I missed the fmfparty so now I am just partying it up in your comment section as I am prone to do. Thank you and goodnight.
why did you get so many emails in 3 minutes?! thats nuts! love your post. so cute!

Your heart is truly warm and inviting to those you touch so yes red is a perfect description for you. I love this post, love seeing God-sized dream coming alive in & through you but please get some rest you make the rest of us look like we are falling behind 🙂
Ummm… I need chocolate after reading that… and you’re right from what I know about you RED suits you to a “T” – Praying you find some down and unplugged time this weekend friend. Even if it’s for 30 minutes.
Faith Lohr says
Haha – Love this! 🙂 Can I just say that you gave me a chocolate craving though?? “I’m Irish enough to believe there is a fiery red head deep down inside, even if my German roots have taken over this brunette faux-hawk.” <---- That made me giggle. 🙂
Apparently I don’t know you that well, because I saw you as more of an orange or a blue 😉 Man, I was way off! But I want to know the red you… the fiery, passionate, creative and courageous you! So if I tackle you at allume with a huge hug, can I just chalk that up to the red aries in me? 😉
Melissa Langford says
I can totally see you as a red! Me, I’m the calm, quiet and soothing sky blue. That was always my fav in the big 64 box of crayolas. Never realized what a great life metaphor that box could be. All those colors, hanging out together. It does take them all the make the picture pretty 🙂
Kristina Tanner says
I love the line that your post went down. Mine was a complete rabbit trail, but red, yes, red fits you great!!!!
Amy @ Coffee with the Mrs. says
Red is a wonderful color to be, friend. You need all of that fire for the big things God has called you to. Praying for you daily, friend. That God’s fire will burn in you so you don’t burn out. ((hugs))
Mollianne Buster Massey says
Mercy me! Bless you, dear! Red is so warm and vibrant. I see red in you. How wonderful that you are able to see it in yourself. Great post!
I don’t have chocolate but you’re welcome to some of my candy corn. 🙂 Yes, I can definitely see you as the color red. Passionate, warm, brave…that’s you!
