Sometimes God brings women into your life for a very special season, and Elisa Pulliam is one of those sweet friends for me. I first met Lisa last year when we were both part of the planning team for the Raising Generations Today Conference, and now we both write for Mothers of Daughters.
Here’s what her bio says:
You’ll soon learn that I am a straight-talker and down-to-earth gal who insists on living a real and transparent life with everyone. From every angle, I am passionate about today’s women being equipped with the Word so they can impact the next generation with relevant truth.
How much do you love that? Elisa is a life coach, mentor, writer, mama, and speaker who is incredibly welcoming, honest, and encouraging. Her words inspire me and the way she has poured into my life has had an impact I’m not sure she’ll ever realize. This year at Declare, Lisa stopped me to ask how I was doing minutes before I spoke on community building. And because I know she’s a straight-talker, I knew I could be, too – so I told her I was terrified and feeling pretty awful about the whole thing.
She could have walked away and said “Ok, you’ll do fine!” She even could have given me a hug and said she’d pray for me. Instead? She actually prayed for me – grabbed my hands and spoke Truth over me. Lisa believed in me and in what God had called me to when I was struggling, and it made all the difference.
I love her heart for mamas and her heart for teens. Lisa mentors naturally, even when it just seems like a casual conversation in a hallway between sessions at a conference. She is an extraordinary listener and has the ability to hear what your heart is saying when the words don’t always seem to make the most sense.
Maybe you’ve never thought about hiring a life coach or you have no idea why you would need one. I highly encourage you to visit Lisa’s website and learn more. And if you have a teen in your life, please check out her More To Be site for encouragement and some incredible free resources.
