I’ve been sitting here trying to write this post and somehow have gotten sucked into watching Dr. Who. Everyone I know is watching, and apparently it’s some kind of big “Day of the Dr.” which I totally don’t understand. Also, if anyone wants to send me a cheat sheet so I know who is who and translate what they’re saying, that would be awesome. Unless of course….spoilers…
Ok, moving right along! I know some of you don’t read blogs on the weekends so here’s a quick recap so you can go back and enter to win some awesomeness in case you missed it the first time around:
Day 1: Red Letter Words print; Blog Planning Kit; Noonday Collection Wristlet
Day 2: Truth in the Tinsel; Begin; Why Do We Call It Christmas
Day 3: Mama’s Happy Space Chevron Bag & Dayspring Wall Mirror
Day 4: Amy Davis custom print; blog critique/2 hours of editing; Stella & Dot bangle
Todays’ giveaway winner will receive a beautiful handmade infinity scarf, a copy of Holley Gerth’s new “Opening the Door to Your God Sized Dreams” devotional and a candle from the Holley Gerth line at Dayspring!
Amy Tilson is a sweet friend who has become one of my biggest encouragers. Not to mention the fact that she taught me everything I need to know about packing a well-organized bag and has ninja skills when it comes to spreadsheets and planning for things like Allume and (in)couragers. Amy is giving one of you a gorgeous, handmade infinity scarf made from pink bamboo cotton, made in the USA!
And my amazing friend Holley Gerth has been a force of nature in my life over the past year. From an invitation to join her God Sized Dream Team, to a barter of editing for life coaching that set me on a course of God-sized dream chasing I never expected, to sending me hilarious photos when I need a laugh, she has become a cherished friend. Not to mention a phenomenal writer who encourages like no one else I know. She is giving one of you fabulous readers a copy of her new devotional, “Opening the Door to Your God Sized Dream” and the “Many Were the Plans in Her Heart” candle, part of the Heart to Heart with Holley collection and designed by Dee at Red Letter Words. Too fun!

I am still how to dream God-Sized Dream. When my kids were younger I got so wrapped up in them, their activities and dreams for them that I forgot how to dream for myself. I know I want to encourage women that there is hope on the other side of depression and they have value; They have a beautiful gift given to them by God to share with others. I thought that encouragement was through a speaking ministry but those doors have not opened yet.
My dream is to keep writing and hope that God keeps giving me the words to write. When I write, it may occasionally encourage or challenge someone else– but HE teaches my soul in the writing.
To complete and publish my book and to grow my speaking ministry.
This season of life, I want so much to just hear the voice of Jesus, for the the places and plans He has for me. Right now it seems to be this, walking faithfully, and being obedient in the small-big things He is showing me. That whole idea that victorious lives are lived out in victorious days and that every decision is connected to the next victory or defeat, all sifted through His grace. Love your new blog! Its truely lovely!
My God-sized dream is to work at home so I can be here for my family.
My God-sized dreams are evolving. Whether writing or mothering or serving, they mostly all involve being intentional and present. God’s done a mighty work in my heart this year, even though the outward results look nothing like I expected. That’s God for you! Thankful for the GSD Team, where our paths crossed!
Crystal, I just have to tell you how fun this whole give-away week has been. You’ve picked great products, the Punchtab thing is easy to use and the new look is beautiful. I don’t usually do the give-away things because it’s too bothersome, but I think I’ve managed to be here every day and it’s been a joy…whether I win anything or not…it’s been fun! Big blessings on the ‘new’ things God is doing here!
Lani, I’m so blessed to hear that! Especially since I rarely do giveaways either, for the same reason 😉
I would love to have my own business one day. I’m not quite sure what yet, but something related to volunteering/serving, kids/family, community, reading… let me know if you can think of anything. :p
I’ll be praying about it for you, Joyce!
I think you might know already. I’m working on setting up my own editing/proofreading business right now. (P.S. I found a typo.) 😉
lol oh girl, I have NO doubt that you did 🙂 The tricky thing with these giveaways is that I ALWAYS find a typo, and then if I go fix it, it deletes the giveaway widget. OH the humanity 😉
I have many…but the one for right now is to see my husband’s dream come to fruition.
Lani, that’s amazing. My husband told me his God sized dream is to do what he needs to so that I can chase mine – you have no idea what a blessing that is!
That is a tremendous blessing Crystal! Hang on to that man! A long time ago we heard a message that indicated that when you help someone pursue their dream, yours end up coming true, too. My man has been incredibly supportive to all my dreams and continues to encourage me to go after them, I couldn’t ask for a better husband!
I’ve been through some difficult things in my life (relatively speaking) and I dream of being able to use those experiences – and especially how God moved through them; moved me through them; and sustained me through them (oftentimes with unexpected joy) to encourage other people – women in particular – who are in difficult circumstances.
Don’t you just love how God uses EXACTLY those moments in our lives for good? I just love the “unexpected joy!”
Thank you so much for those sweet, sweet words. It is a pleasure to encourage you and be your friend. Such a blessing to know you and be a part of this in a small way!! Much big love, lady!!
{{hugs!}}
My God-sized dream is to encourage the hearts of women in a deeper way. Not sure what that looks like. Hopefully I’ll find out!
I will be praying with you as you chase it – because you are a gifted encourager 🙂
I feel like He is still putting them in my heart, but He most definitely has put children on my heart, especially those going hungry. My dream would be to go on a mission trip to serve in whatever why He lead me.
Bless your heart, Vicki. Thank you for sharing – I’ll be praying that God would open a door so you could go & serve as your heart desires.
My God-sized dream is to be a champion for orphaned children and help get as many as I can into forever families.
Beautiful!
Well, funny you should ask! Ha! ; ) I have a few. Some are new and unexpected (that God has brought about), and one that’s remained, despite everything. The dream that’s most consuming right now is the website. : )
Girl, I’ve been praying over that for you the last week!
Thank you! Your prayers have been felt for sure!!
I feel like I have a hundred God-Sized Dreams. I think the one that wins is just to love and encourage people however I can…through words, through hugs, through coffee and long chats. 🙂 Would love to publish my book, too! And be the best mama I can be. 🙂
You are a gifted encourager 🙂
You’re doing a good job with that encouragement, Mel!
My God-sized dream? To either adopt or somehow impact the lives of orphans. I don’t know how this will come about or what it will look like, but it’s always been in my heart – even from when I was a kid!
Oh I love that Sarah!
My God sized dream has been to re-awaken my passion for writing and let God write a story through me.
Can’t wait to see what God does through that, Victoria 🙂
To encourage other women, to make an impact for Christ in the world. Right now – God has me encouraging young women (and men!) as a teacher in school. Taking it to the God-sized part of the dream: having an online presence that makes a difference as a blogger….or however He needs to use me!
Encouragers in the classroom? Priceless. You are doing awesome kingdom work, friend 🙂
My God Sized Dream??? to write a book & to daily help women know how to live in the Presence of their loving Heavenly Father!
So fun!
My God Sized Dream would be to encourage mothers of daughters as they seek to rear them for Christ!
That’s beautiful Tracey!
Seriously, Crystal…I am still searching for my God Sized Dream….I truly don’t know. Holley says I should pray and ask God to show me, but so far, I haven’t seen or heard a clear calling.
Well then, my sweet Mary, I will join you in praying. Where two or three are gathered, right?
I’ll be your 3! I’m in the same boat with you Mary, gently sailing along trying to keep my eyes and heart open to that dream. 🙂
Well you probably know this already 🙂 But my GSD is to encourage other women who are walking or have walked difficult roads that there IS hope and God is in the business of restoration!
You do it SO well 🙂
My God Sized Dream? So, I haven’t read the book yet. I have it, but I’m a little nervous to crack it open. I’m scared of where it might take me, which means I actually REALLY need to read it. Without having read it, I’m going to say owning our own home. We are in such a LEAN time right now that saving the money for a down payment seems so far far away.
Oh girl – yep – you need to read the book 🙂
