God is good! What a wonderful weekend away. Matt & I had the opportunity to stay at the garden loft of some dear friends from church. They are the epitome of hospitality and warmth, and we had the most amazing, relaxing, weekend.
Even though their home is only 5 minutes from our house, we felt like we were secluded in a garden paradise hours away from all the distractions of home. They’ve turned a guest loft above their garage into one of the most beautiful suites I’ve ever stayed in. A fully stocked mini fridge, complete with drinks & yogurt was provided, as well as a huge bowl of fresh fruit, coffee, chocolates, and the best muffins I’ve ever had in my life. What joy to see their personalized note, tucked in a devotional book (a gift to take home), letting us know they were praying over our time as their guests.
Matt was concerned about no TV for an entire weekend, but I’m pleased to report that we both survived. We were able to spend time in prayer together, talking and seeking God’s direction for our family. As Matt said Friday, God was there! In the quiet and the stillness, we were both able to hear God speak to our hearts and come to the same conclusion about the future of our family. Praise God!
