Little girl, how in the world are you 8 months old already? You are growing up so fast, and your mommy & daddy just can’t wrap our heads around it sometimes.
You aren’t crawling yet, but you are SO close! You rock back and forth on your hands and knees. Somehow you manage to find your way across the room to get into exactly what we don’t want you to touch (usually tissues. Or the remote. Or the iPad.)
Your daddy makes you giggle and smile more than anyone else on the planet. You love to ride on his shoulders and think it’s hysterical when he pretends that you scared him. You love when he plays “daddy dragon” and lets you “kick” him when he’s pushing you in your swing.
Last month we went on our first family vacation to Rehoboth, DE, and even though you had an ear infection, you were so much fun! You thought the ocean sounded like your Sleepy Sheep and fell asleep in my arms on the beach one morning.
Watching your cousin Bella keeps you entertained for hours – she is one of your favorite people.
You are one independent little girl. You get very angry when you can’t feed yourself, go where you want to go, or do what you want to do.
You also don’t really like it when we leave the room or hand you over to someone else. Let’s get over that one, okay?
And you’re not a fan of laying down, being put in your car seat, or otherwise being contained in any way that doesn’t suit what you think you need to be doing. It’s made diaper changes interesting. I promise your carseat won’t hurt you/trap you/force you to sleep, so please stop with the crazy back arching/screaming stuff. K? Thanks.
You absolutely love music – especially when you hear the “ABCs” song or “The Wheels on the Bus.” You do this cute little bouncy dance any time you hear music, and you love dancing with your daddy to the “hotdog song” at the end of Mickey Mouse Club House.
You still only have those two cute little bottom teeth, but we expect more to come in any day. Even with just two teeth you find a way to crunch your Cheerios. And I would like to point out that you gave mommy a bruise when you bit her the other day. Not cool, kiddo.
You love when mommy & daddy hug – you get a huge grin on your face and you clap. And then we squish you in the middle for a Madi sandwich J
This summer you have turned into a little water bug. You adore your great grandma’s pool and are absolutely fearless.
You are growing up into a charming, beautiful, sweet, sensitive little girl, and we couldn’t be more proud or honored or humbled to be your parents.
So cute!! It does go by fast, but remember there are always firsts:)!!
Oh we can’t wait to see you guys! The cuteness will be on overload with the two of them 🙂
Love! This is making me so excited to see you guys tomorrow!!! 🙂 And J does that crazy back-arching stuff when he doesn’t want to go into the car seat too. He will be twins with Madi this weekend because they BOTH only have 2 bottom teeth -haha! 🙂
