It’s official. I’m listening to Christmas music today. I’ve broken my own no-Christmas-music-until-after-Thanksgiving rule because I needed to write a post about Christmas ornaments, and my Zumba playlist just wasn’t getting me in the right mood. Apparently it also inspired to me start {gasp} Christmas shopping, because I’ve done a little of that already, too.
One of my favorite things to do is find THE gift. You know – the one the person on your list didn’t ask for, but the one you know deep in your heart they need to have. The gift that surprises and delights. The one they’ll love and adore.
If I’m honest, I’m actually pretty bad at it. I’d much rather just buy someone exactly what they have on their Amazon wishlist because you can guarantee success. But I’ve learned one little trick over the last few years – if I purchase a gift that is cause related, that makes a difference, that has a story and a person associated with it? It does more than fill a stocking. It changes a life, brings awareness, and almost always looks really cute, too.
So this month I’m going to share about some of my favorite organizations that are giving back and changing the world through beautiful products and opportunities to impact the world. Today I’m excited to partner with Work of Worth, a new company with one of my favorite people leading the charge. I first met Kristi through her work with Freeset, and when she shared about Work of Worth, I knew I wanted to support what they were doing.
Work of Worth exists to sustainably employ entrepreneurs in dignity from poverty and the sex trade. Each purchase of their quality items helps to support men and women who desire a choice for freedom and dignity for their families. You can view all the items in the shop here, shop my curated collection (featured at the top of the page) here, or head over to their Facebook page and sign up so you can shop right on their page! It’s incredibly…and dangerously…easy and fun 😉
This month as we prepare for Christmas, will you join me in giving thanks and giving back? I’d love to know which Work of Worth item you’d love to receive – or give – this year!
