There are moments in this new season of budgeting, coupons, discount grocery shopping, and a new-found love for giftcards that … to be honest?…I feel guilty. The moments when the enemy sneaks in with whispers that my family “deserves” to do amazing, wonderful things but I’m too much of a failure to provide adequately for them to be able to do what they want. What the world tells them they need. It’s not a place I like to be, and it’s not where God wants me to stay.
So we’re being creative this summer. We’re figuring out how to have fun as a family. Does it have to be on a budget of .. um… zero? Yes. Do we need to live in the land of guilt and shame while we do it? Not even for a second.
Today I’m sharing some of the summer fun ideas we’ve come up with over at the fabulous Mothers of Daughters site (do you follow? you should. it’s kind of fabulous). And for you, my sweet readers, I’ve created a little Pinnable (and hopefully printable?) image for you to enjoy. Would you hop over to the Mother’s of Daughter’s site and share YOUR favorite free family fun ideas with me?
But first, let’s pause for a moment of appreciation for the alliteration in that last sentence.
