Have you ever taken a single strand of string and tried to break it? It snaps pretty easily, right? But what happens when you take that single string and braid it together with two more? As the individual pieces weave in and out of one another, they become stronger – together.
We’re like that, too. As we ask God to reveal His dreams for our lives and we say “yes” to chasing what He has placed before us, we can feel weak, vulnerable and unprotected. But Scripture reminds us that there is strength – and safety – in numbers. We’re not meant to do all of this on our own. We need a support system around us, friends who can enter into our lives and offer their strengths where we’re weak, and we can offer the same in return. They aren’t doing the work for us, taking the next step in our place, but weaving in and out of our lives like a beautiful braid, creating strength and courage.
