We sponsor a child through Compassion because we believe in what they do, we believe in how they use their money, and we believe in doing our small part to help release children from poverty in the name of Jesus, around the world.
When you shop the Compassion Christmas Catalog, you can help.
These aren’t the kinds of gifts that come wrapped in shiny paper under the tree. Or the kind that cause our house to be covered ALL THE GLITTER for months. They’re better. They provide clean water. Food. Protection from Malaria. Access to a safe playground. The means to start a business. A roof on a home.
I wouldn’t have said this a few years ago, but when I look at my own little girl, I would give up every gift under that tree to make sure she had what she needed to be safe, healthy, and educated. Why not do that for someone else’s daughter?
Protect a child from Malaria – $18
Provide safe water for a family – $23
Provide access to a safe playground – $35
Sponsor a child – $38/month
Care for a baby’s medical needs for a year – $55
If money were no option, which gift would you choose?
And don’t forget to follow the Compassion bloggers as they travel to Peru! You won’t want to miss their stories & photos. Please pray for them as they travel?
So, so true!! We shopped from the World Vision catalog last year and are planning to do so again. It’s such a great feeling – and who needs more *stuff*?!
