Time Management Tip: Reward yourself
We are more than halfway through this series and I think it’s time to talk about something fun. It’s time to treat yo’self! One thing that we’ve noticed with our daughter is that she loves a good sticker chart. She loves the visual reminder of her progress as she works toward a goal and a special reward that she’s chosen for herself. Sometimes it’s a trip to the toy store, or a local arcade, or a special dinner.
If I were filling out a sticker chart I would probably be working toward a trip to Starbucks, or that cute new scarf I spotted at Target. Maybe you give yourself a daily reward of going for a walk when the work is done, or a special movie night at the end of the week with your family when you’ve hit that weekly goal you established. Find little ways to reward the work you’re doing so you stay motivated – and have fun! Although kingdom work is a serious business, we can enjoy what we do.

Listen. I don’t know if this is really a time management resource, but one of my daily rewards is getting to change into the coziest clothing I own. Whether it’s the new super soft pj pants from Kohls or the black hoodie I bought at Target, that is my sign that the work day is done and my rest can begin. If you couldn’t think of a reward you might want to work toward, this cardi (which is super expensive but apparently wonderful) might just be what you’re looking for.
