Oh! Y’all. This “what I’m loving” thing? It’s like a little series, now!
An unpredictable, unplanned, possibly never to be done again series, but there are two of them! {{happy dance}}
Come on – you don’t expect me to start following bloggy conventions & rules NOW, do you? It’s all a big guessing game around here – will she post? What will she write about? Does she actually still blog? Whoa that was three posts in one day!
Aren’t you glad you keep coming back?
Anyway, there was just too much good stuff floating around in my head & on the interwebs for me not to share a few things with you.
1. Shaun Groves Christmas EP
Sometime last year I had a lovely chat with Shaun about how badly he needed a VA. Really, I was trying to convince him to hire ME, but he’s one of those amazingly talented, creative, hard-working, Jesus loving people that I would cheer for even if he didn’t sign up for my organizational awesomeness on the spot. (He didn’t. I like him anyway.) During that chat he mentioned the idea of a Christmas album that he wanted to do and how he’d fund it through Kickstarter. Even though it didn’t work out for the Christmas album last year, I can not tell you how tickled I am that he stuck with it and is currently raising money for the album, to release THIS year! There are side hugs as prizes, people. SIDE. HUGS. Head over to Shaun’s Kickstarter page, read about his project & join me in supporting one of my favorite people 🙂 *I was not compensated at all for this glowing endorsement. I get free side-hugs apparently, so this is all just me telling you to go help someone’s dream come true. Update: you can now buy the album here (affiliate link)
2. Country Outfitter
So we’ve talked Christmas (in July, no less) and now … cowboy boots. I might have an obsession. My bank account (and husband) have the fact that I’m nearly finished reading 7 by Jen Hatmaker as the reason I don’t currently own at least 3 pairs of Country Outfitter boots. When I was in Arkansas last week we had the most fun visiting the store and now? Not a day goes by where I’m not browsing their site. These are boots that make a girl feel brave – especially now that I know I’ll have them in Texas when I talk at Declare! After spending several days walking – a lot – in very, very flat sandals, these boots were like little puffy clouds of comfort for my poor tired toes. I even ordered a shirt from Like Twice simply because I thought it would look great with my boots!
3. Like Twice
Well, that was a smooth transition, wasn’t it? I know that I’ve written about Stitch Fix on here, and I’ve attempted to find things on ThredUp with no luck. But then I saw a link to Like Twice and figured – why not? Well. That shirt I mentioned? The one that will look great with my boots? I paid $8 (that includes shipping) for a Free People shirt that originally would have cost me over $90. WINNING. I got $10 credit when I signed up AND $10 credit when I downloaded their free app. There is a small snag on it, and the site doesn’t do as good of a job describing the condition (ThredUp is good at this), but you can choose to browse “new with tag” items..and frankly, for $8 I would probably buy it in the store with a snag anyway because it’s just that cute & that great of a deal. *Links to these shops are affiliate links, which means if you sign up & order, I get a little something, but at zero cost to you.
4. Words Matter
I don’t think I’ve posted about this sale yet on here, but I really though you should know about it. It ends Wednesday this week, so hurry on over and place your order at DaySpring, since the Words Matter Art Prints are all Buy 2 Get 1 Free. There are two sizes to choose from and both make gorgeous gifts. I’ve mailed several of them and love that they arrive in envelopes to make gift giving super easy. The prints are also the perfect addition to your new The-Nester-Made-Me-Do-It Gallery Wall (everyone I know has suddenly freed themselves of the fear of the nail hole & it’s so fun to see the photos on Instagram!). Just add three prints to your cart, use promo code INPRINTFREE at checkout and that third one will be a freebie!
I’d love to know – what are you loving this week? Any fun new websites, products, apps, shops that you can’t get enough of? I shared my favorites, so feel free to share yours in the comments!
Can’t wait to see these boots at the conference! Growing up, my dad loved all things western and I turned a blind eye at a very young age. But now I keep doing a sideways glance at all these cute boots women are popping up in. I can already hear my dad now if I saunter in with a pair of those boots nearly 30 years later. Never say never, I guess. 😉
Don’t you love when a little serendipitous series appears out of nowhere on your own blog? I’ve had that happen a time or two myself. 😉 And now I’m off to look at cowgirl boots. I’ve been wishing for ankle boots for a good long while…
I love your posts, they are always fresh and original! Thank you for the heads up on cool stuff!
You are sweet to say that, Diane! Where I see a totally unfocused plan of attack, you see fresh & original 🙂 I’ll receive that!
Love the things you love! And wouldn’t you know it, my daughter is planning a vow renewal for next summer in Montana. I’m pretty sure I’m gonna need some new boots for that, right?
Well then, I HIGHLY recommend stalking Country Outfitters. Especially their flash sale page! Be sure to let me know if you get a pair 🙂
So I just stumbled onto the Like Twice site and have not purchased as of yet. But it is pretty cool!
Can’t wait to see you and your cute boots girl in like 8 days?
-stacey
8 days! Yay! …and then I think about my session and freak out that it’s 8 DAYS. Hold me.
