Last April I sat in a room full of incredible editors and publishers, listening as they pitched incredible ideas for books that could come from (in)courage. I was in love. I was learning so much from all of these wonderfully wise men and women who worked in a field I dreamed of being part of one day.
I had no idea that God was preparing me for my final project for (in)courage.
Like in college, this was a big one. The culmination of everything I loved to do packaged together. Connecting with friends and writers to invite them to be part of the story. Reading, editing and making their words shine. Managing a project that exceeded it’s deadlines and glorified God in the most beautiful way.
I may no longer work for (in)courage, but this book is incredibly important to me. As the managing editor for this book, I have poured over each of the 30 articles more times than I can count. I have prayed for the writers and the readers for months. And even when everything felt like it was falling apart with my job, this book brought me joy.
It’s truly what (in)courage has always been to me – a place where women can come together to share their stories and be real with one another. It’s where God comes first and everything points back to Him.
Arriving on January 10th, meet the first (in)courage book! Craving Connection: 30 Challenges for Real-Life Engagement brings together 30 articles on connecting with God, friends, and community from writers you know & love, and some new voices, too.
Will you pre-order a copy today? You’re really going to want to do that, because DaySpring has so generously put together one of the most amazing book pre-order packages I think I’ve ever seen:
No matter how many times you’ve chased after friendship and been denied, rejected, turned down, or even told ‘no’, there is hope.
It may have been my final project, but I wouldn’t have wanted it any other way. The opportunity to work with the incredible teams at LifeWay and B&H was a highlight of my career. Working with these women who so faithfully shared their stories was a dream come true. And now, waiting to see how God does a healing, holy, work in the lives of women around the world as they read? Well. That’s just nearly too much for my heart to hold.
