Why didn’t anyone tell me how hard it is to come up with a good Father’s Day gift? I know, I know…”technically” next year will be Matt’s first official Father’s Day, but I really wanted to celebrate him this year. He’s been through so much with me and he’s going to be such a great dad 🙂 He’s kind, a provider, caring, protective, so excited about this baby, and is doing so much more than I could have expected during his summer off from school. This little one is very blessed to come into the world to such an awesome dad – I can’t wait to see Matt hold our baby for the first time.
I ended up getting Matt tickets to go see the Orioles play in July, which he was very surprised & happy about. He loves. loves. loves. the Orioles. Bless his heart. It’s a wonderful day when they win. And that’s all I’ll say about that. {wink} He always talks about going to see them play, but unless he actually has the tickets in his hands, it’s not likely that he’ll actually go, so I’m glad that we’ll be able to go enjoy a baseball game. And unlike my track record lately, I’ll hopefully remember to take my camera with me! Sorry for all the photo-less posts this week.
Father’s Day was wonderful. I can’t wait to celebrate more of them with Matt…feel free to share good gift ideas with me though, otherwise the poor guy might end up with the same gift every year 😉
I would be ok with the same gift each year 😉
Soo sweet! I was at odds too…wanted to get him something sentimental but ended up going with practical (backpack for his mission trip to Mexico this summer). The nice thing is knowing that, starting next year, we can do more personalized gifts/crafts “from” the baby! 🙂 Like things involving handprints and footprints!!! eee!
