There’s some really awesome stuff happening around the internet this week. I know that there’s always comparison and competition out there, but if you look hard enough & you’re thoughtful enough about who you follow, you’ll find the beauty. While I love to share all of my favorite things here, sometimes it’s nice to open this space and highlight what others are doing – so that’s what I’m sharing today. And as much I as I appreciate when you click through my affiliate links, it would mean even more to me if you would go over and support these friends.
Dressember – My friend Erin is one of the most kind, fun-loving, and generous people I know. For the entire month of December she’s partnered with Dressember, committing to wearing a dress every day this month (perfect for her adorable fashion-loving self!). Dressember is a fashion movement that has women all over the world wearing dresses for all 31 days of December to raise awareness and money to end human trafficking and sex slavery. Interested in joining Erin’s team? Head here to sign up (it’s not too late!), read her tips on 5 must have dresses for the month here, or donate to support her here!
Prayers for Girls Calendar – Do you know Teri Lynne Underwood? She is a delightful friend, a brilliant encourager, and has the biggest heart for mama’s of girls. If you’ve been looking for a tool to equip you to pray for your daughters, she has a beautiful calendar that you can receive each month for free if you sign up for her Prayers for Girls email list. You’ll also get a printable when you sign up before January, so head over now & join her!
#incourageChristmas – I might be a little partial to this one, but if you don’t already follow (in)courage on Instagram or Facebook, now is the perfect time to do that. Every day this month they’re sharing simple, meaningful scripture and images to help prepare our hearts for Christmas. No homework. No books. No projects. Just a beautiful way to start each day. You can follow them here on Instagram or here on Facebook.
Hammer & Chisel – This one might feel a little more self-serving than the rest, but hear me out. One of the reasons I’ve loved partnering with Beachbody as a coach is their love for people. Yes, it’s a business, and yes they sell products. But their heart – and my reason why I share any of it – is because they desire to help as many people as possible. This week they launched a new workout called The Master’s Hammer & Chisel and with every purchase they’re making a $5 donation to Upward Bound House, a non-profit organization dedicated to elimination of homelessness among families and children in Los Angeles by proving housing, supportive services and advocacy. The goal is to raise $500,000 so that we can help 100 families get off the streets and back on their feet. You can learn more about the workout program & purchase it here. They’re anticipating it selling out, so you may want to check it out today 🙂
So that’s the round up for this week! I’d love if you would go visit some of my friends and encourage them, it would mean so much!
And congratulations Kate for winning this week’s giveaway! Check your email!
I love this … all of it! And thank you for adding Prayers for Girls to the list. What an honor to be tucked into a gathering of such awesomeness. I am absolutely LOVING #incourageChristmas. The images are gorgeous. Thanks, Crystal, for being a true example of community. <3
