I am surrounded by incredibly talented writers who write books that I love. So I have another review for you! Christin Slade is a mother, a writer, and a wonderful friend who has shared her incredible tips & tricks for balancing motherhood, family, work, and blogging in her new eBook, Blog at Home Mom: Balancing Blogging and Motherhood.
From Christin’s blog: Blog at Home Mom (#BAHM) is a source of practical and encouraging tips to help moms balance their life at home with their blogging ministry or business online. You will find ideas for organizing and prioritizing your blog and writing, as well as setting goals and keeping balance with your home and children.
This book doesn’t tell you what to do, it lays it out in easy to follow steps with real life bloggers sharing how they make it work in their lives. I read this book in one sitting, start to finish, highlighting my way through and finished it feeling like I finally had a plan of attack to tackle all of my responsibilities.
Christin doesn’t just write a book about blogging though. She keeps it focused on the priorities that matter – our relationship with God and our families are first, always, and then everything else falls into place.
Here are some of my favorite quotes:
“Pursuing our passions doesn’t mean you sacrifice less as a wife or mother…”
“The goal isn’t to manage motherhood so we can run a blog. It’s to embrace motherhood as we minister to others in an organized and intentional manner.”
“…I steal time to use the gifts I believe God has given me, and trust Him to use the words–-and my time-–for His glory.” – Crystal Stine (ha! me! I’m in this book…which is funny because I read my quote and thought “wow I really identify with this writer”…and then realized it was me…)
“None of what’s in this e-book will matter if you haven’t first given your writing to God.”
I highly recommend purchasing this book. Not only will it bless you, it will bless Christin and her family as they seek to raise money to adopt two beautiful girls. You can purchase the book from Amazon for $4.99 or purchase it directly from Christin’s blog at http://joyfulmothering.net/my-ebook.
Or…if you love a good book but just want to help Christin fund their adoption, you can go to her blog and make a straight donation 🙂

I love that you identified with your own writing. We’re so busy we forget quickly what we’ve done! I also identify with that quote and it has encouraged me to keep at it!
