We’re only a week away from Christmas – which means I’ve actually done this Friday Favorites series for an entire year! I don’t know how much blogging I’ll be doing throughout the rest of this month, so I thought it would be fun to end this year’s series with a giveaway! My friend Erin and I are going to be gifting on of you a brand new copy of Choose Joy, a beautiful Hallmark greeting card autographed by Dancing With the Stars own Julianne Hough (yep – seriously), a set of Hallmark Crown Collection Christmas movies, a year long subscription to Relevant Magazine, an art print by Hey Emily Thomas, a pair of Vi Bella earrings, and a few other goodies that might just make their way into the prize pack. Just complete the giveaway widget to be entered! I’ll choose a winner on Monday.
And while you’re waiting to find out if you won, let’s chat about a few other favorites. affiliate links included
Ja-Vie Flats – I have never in my life owned a pair of shoes that didn’t need to be broken in before they were comfortable. Until these. You guys – they’re so super cute, incredibly comfortable, machine washable (what?!), and available in more than 20 colors. I, of course, got the black sparkle. Because sparkle.
The 4 Dimensions of Extraordinary Leadership by Jenni Catron – One of the things I love most about partnering with Beachbody is their encouragement for personal development. So I’m always on the look out for great leadership books, especially written by women I trust. Endorsed by John Maxwell and Christine Caine, Catron’s book takes leadership to a deeper level that is based on the Great Commandment and covers leadership from the perspective of heart, soul, mind and strength. I was particularly drawn to her section on leading with your heart, as she notes that “great team cultures should cause people to clamor to work for your team.” Whether it’s in blogging or social media or work or coaching, that’s exactly the kind of culture I desire to create.
The Food Lab – In our search for ideas for healthy meals (hubs is doing Hammer & Chisel with me and is ALL IN on the meal planning containers) we came across The Food Lab. This book is no joke – nearly 1,000 pages of recipes and the science behind cooking. It’s right up my husband’s alley and apparently makes a great bedtime story. If you have a foodie in your life, this New York Times bestseller would be an impressive gift – especially since it’s currently marked down from $50 to $28.
Lego Architecture – This is going to be the Christmas of Legos at our house – for the kiddo and for the husband. While Madi might be enjoying her Lego hot air balloon, my husband is currently building the White House. Out of Legos. It’s quite impressive, actually – even if the sound of all those little pieces hitting our hardwood floors makes me cringe. Lego Architecture sets are the grown up version of building blocks – stylish and modern and the final version is something I won’t hate to have displayed in our house. For some reason the price on the White House version is incredibly high right now, so I’d suggest checking out the Seattle Space Needle.
Those are the favorites for the week – be sure to enter the giveaway, and have a great weekend!
Those flats look amazing! Searching for the perfect red flats & those just might be the ones–thanks for the heads up!
