Introducing "Rebuilding"

Everyday faith

Several months ago God put a song on my heart. He has always spoken Truth and healing to me through music, so it seemed like a natural fit that He would give this to me.
I am not, however, a musician. Try as I might to justify 9 years playing the clarinet and failed attempts at learning the piano, acoustic guitar and bass guitar, I’ve learned to stick with my strength. Writing – yes. Writing music…um…not so much.
My husband IS in fact a musician. A very talented bass player who can also play pretty much every other instrument he’s ever touched, and is a great singer (not that he lets me hear him very often). He’s part of a contemporary Christian worship band called Stars Burn Down and these guys seriously love God. Not to mention they are very very good at what they do. It’s been such a blessing to see God take an elementary school teacher, banker, PhD and a contractor/business owner and use them for His glory.

God gave me the song, but He gave Stars Burn Down the music. They’ve been working on it for quite awhile and introduced it for the first time on Friday at a local show. I was so thankful to be able to be there to hear it & record it so I could share it here. I was so nervous before they performed it but they did such an amazing job! I’m so grateful to them for taking my words and doing THIS with them. Enjoy 🙂

I hope you’ll be sure to come back tomorrow and link up with me for the first ever “Behind the Scenes” linky! You can read all about it here. I can’t wait to read the stories behind the photos you share! And feel free to share with your friends – the more the merrier!

SO cool!! Love it. My husband is also a musician (worship leader) and it is always so cool to me that God uses our gifts together in so many ways.

    Crystal,
I listened to and watched your hubby’s video…great music!! My son is a drummer and I play piano/keyboard so we are a very musical family. That being said, I really appreciate the creative, God inspired process and the music that is born from the gift of music! All the best to the band!!
    Blessings,
    Bev
