I’m stepping out of my comfort zone in April to host an (in)RL gathering at my house. Why is that scary for me?
I’ve invited women from all areas of my life and never have all of those mixed together.
I’m an introvert.
I have a baby and it will require me to actually CLEAN MY HOUSE.
Ok that last one is probably a blessing. Ha!
(in)RL is an “un-conference” hosted by the wonderful women of (in)courage. It’s a day where hundreds or even thousands of women around the world can all get together with their in-real-life friends and maybe make some new in-real-life friends and have their own beach party, right from the comfort of their homes. Or someone’s home. Or my home. Yikes!

I don’t know about you, but I need this kind of community in my real life. Online is great, and I love it, and I hope and pray one day to meet all the women I’ve built relationships with on Twitter and through blogs, but nothing beats laughing, crying, and eating chocolate face-to-face with girls who know just where you are.
I’m hosting one at my house too and ditto on the introvert status. I need community as well and although I don’t usually commit to things like this I think it’ll be a good time. If you were in my neck of the woods, I would totally invite you over to hang. 🙂
