You might have noticed (or not…I’ll pretend “yes”) that’s it been a little quiet over here on the blog in the last week. We decided to take a family vacation to Rehoboth Beach with our little one, my parents, and my sister, bro-in-law & niece. The highlights:
Leaving at 2 a.m. so Madi would sleep in the car the whole way. Pro: it worked. Con: we got 2 hours of sleep. {yawn}
We had a few very chilly days (wearing sweatpants on the beach) and a few very very hot days, but Madi was a trooper through it all.
She loved the sound of the ocean – she fell asleep on me one day, I think because it sounded like a big version of her “sleepy sheep”…she did not, however, love getting her toes in the water!
Madi & I got sick, had to go the clinic and were both on antibiotics for the week 🙁 In among all of the “firsts” for Madi (beach, ocean, swimming pool, etc.) her first ear infection was not one I was planning on.
We did a lot, but mostly we bonded as a family. We’re exhausted and I could use another vacation to recover, but I’m so glad we have a little girl who is so easy going -can’t wait to travel with her again!
