Continuing with my recap of the highlights of Allume, I thought I’d share the video (above) with you because when I heard Lara read it during our Hello Mornings meet up, it spoke to my heart. She is a brilliant artist.
I’m not sure how else to describe this meet up than this:
It was early
I was tired
The Holy Spirit showed up and blew my socks clean off
It was church. Church in the way that my soul has been craving for over 2 years. Church that met me where I was, where I am, and spoke encouragement, Truth, and bravery into my heart. In a little section of the (in)courage lounge, in a decorated ballroom in Harrisburg, PA on a Friday morning, we met. We gathered to proclaim Him, to worship Him. It was something I pray I never forget.
There have been few moments in my Christian walk where I feel as though:
I feel like the Holy Spirit is present
I feel like I can be … me ...
This was one. I assume everyone feels the presence of God differently. For me, it’s chills and tears. I literally can’t stop them. So to stand, eyes closed, hands lifted, voices raised, tears falling in front of these amazing women (most of whom I’d either just met or might not even speak with during the weekend)..it was where God met me at Allume.
So thank you Katie, Kat, Lara & the rest of the beautiful Hello Mornings team. Thank you for bringing a bunch of girls together in real life to do what you encourage us to do at home every morning. Rise up. Praise God. Read the Word.
Amen! The hope to do it again next year will have me staying up late to try to snag another ticket!
I’m so glad it wasn’t just me 😀 And I’m so thankful that whoever was beside me was graced with tone-deaf ears so they weren’t offended by my loud and off-key singing (I am the “joyful noise”..lol…
Oh absolutely 🙂 I will wake up early to fellowship with this group of women anytime – even more now that I know your sweet faces in real life!
Oh my… I could not have expressed it better myself. This was something quite remarkable indeed. I know it was the highlight of Allume for me… Amazing GOD. And meeting you, friend 🙂
It was such a special, precious, God-filled time together! Love that we could feel the room just filled with his presence!
It was beautiful, wasn’t it? I loved it. Wish we could do it like that every week! But I cherish that we got to do it at all. 🙂 ((Hugs))
