Friday Favorites

I’m tired, y’all. Like want to curl up in a ball and sleep for all the days tired. It’s been a gloriously chaotic week with the launch of Creative Basics, a lot of big work projects, and starting the 21 Day Fix. On a week where I would normally be eating my feelings I’m drinking shakes, working out, and convincing myself that I really don’t miss carbs as much as I do.

Anyway – this  might not be the best Friday Favorites round-up you’ve ever seen, but it’s what I’ve got 😉 Some affiliate links are included. But not many. Because I’m a slacker this week.

Happy, Happy, Happy – I know. I can’t help it. I just love the Robertsons and found it completely fascinating to read Phil’s story about where he came from and how it all got started. It was an easy, quick read that didn’t shy away from the truth of the Gospel and I learned more than I ever really wanted to know about ducks. Plus it was fun to read about places in Arkansas that I’ve actually been to because of work <– nerd.

Mici Magazine – For the last few years I’ve really loved writing guest posts for other blogs. And then, when I was at Declare last year, I had the chance to learn about Mici and the gals behind it and I fell in love. Their magazine is absolutely stunning and I read it cover-to-cover on my flight home. And this new issue? Well. If you read through, you might just find an article with my name on it in there! It’s completely worth the subscription cost – and if you have teen girls, you’ll want to check out what they’re doing with their Mici Girls curriculum!

Thryve Magazine – Aren’t there just some flat out talented, amazing women doing great things for the kingdom out there? Thryve is another new-to-me magazine that I have fallen in love with. The women who work behind the scenes to put these together are top notch and I have loved working with them. Their new issue (which..again..you might just find an article by yours truly in) was so popular it sold out almost immediately & the reprint is on back order! Go check them out & subscribe.

That’s it. Seriously. I kept falling asleep in front of the television this week so unless you want to hear a mash-up of the half an episode of Shark Tank, little bit of American Pickers, and a spoiler alert for Face Off, you’re better off just watching the dudes try to do yoga.

Wear

Fabletics – I really love workout gear almost as much as I love working out. And while this stuff is pricey, the difference in quality is huge. Plus, if you’re new you can get your first outfit (yep – outfit) for just $25. And they have a FabKids store now, and I’m regretting not grabbing a free outfit for Madi when they emailed this week!

Evys Tree – So this one falls under the category of “things I wish I owned because I would wear it all the time.” Unfortunately these gorgeous hoodies are out of my price range, and I’m far below their radar as a blogger 😉 Maybe I’ll save my pennies and buy one someday – a girl can dream, right?

Little Praise Party app – This is one of my favorite apps on my phone for Madi. Every few weeks Yancy will push out new cartoon music videos to go with her songs, and we are LOVING the ones for Easter right now. It’s so nice to balance out all the Easter egg hunts and baskets and gifts with songs that Madi can understand and learn from (that don’t require me to sing “Peter Cottontail” 800 times).

That’s it for this week! Except to say that my most favorite favorite of all was seeing so many of you participating in the #creativebasics challenges. And watching you connect, encourage one another and rediscover a passion for creativity? Well it just made this weary mama happier than I could ever say. Thanks for hanging out with me 🙂
