Oh y’all. What a week. I have to say I’m so incredibly happy to write these Friday Favorites posts because there is absolutely nothing heavy, serious, insightful or inspiriting about them. They’re just fun. And I think we all need a little more fun, don’t you?
If you’ve been wanting to do your own “favorites” post today is the day! At the end of this one you’ll find a linky tool to add your post so we can all see what you’re loving. Tell me your favorite new mascara, the sweater you can’t live without or the book you just can’t stop reading. I want to hear it all!
Off we go!
Read
Propel Women Magazine – this isn’t anything new, and I’m sure if you float in the same interweb circles that I do you’ve seen that this was launch week for Propel Women, and you’ve probably already signed up to receive their magazine. But if you haven’t? Get on that. Because these amazing women are equipping and inspiring women to lead well and it’s just what I’ve been needing. Good, Christ-centered leadership guidance from women who have been there, done it, and are ready to pass the baton to a fresh new batch of runners.
Share Image – Sometimes we just need something beautiful to hang up to inspire us, and I absolutely love this scripture PDF. And it tickles me to know that it’s been shared more than 1,300 times because I made it. And my name isn’t on it, and I love that God uses the anonymous parts of my life to go further than anything I slap my signature on.
For All The Times You Forget Your Worth – this one by Aliza will just straight up bless your heart. You are worthy. Don’t we all need to hear that?
Watch
Uptown Funk video – I mean, if this guy doesn’t Zumba, he really needs to start!
Budweiser Commercial – The advertising/marketing nerd in me really loves the Super Bowl commercials. I’ve already been watching some online, and I have to admit, Budweiser never lets me down. This one made me get a little misty over my coffee, too.
Super Bowl XLIX – will you be watching? {and let’s be honest – I googled the exact name because Roman numerals and I don’t get along}. We usually try to get together with family or friends and watch at least through halftime (before Madi’s bedtime). I still feel strongly that Bruno Mars should just always be the halftime performance, but we’ll see how this year goes. Do you watch for the game, the commercials, the music, or just to get together with friends and eat food? Since none of our teams are in it, we’ll just be hanging out and having a good time!
Wear
Zumba Shoes Update – I know in my last post I showed you three different versions of Zumba shoes I was waiting to receive from Zappos – well, they came. And I tried them all on. And I ended up loving and keeping the ones I liked least online. To be fair, the ASICS were my top choice from a comfort/style perspective, but they weren’t smooth enough on the bottom for Zumba. BUMMED. I’ll be buying them the next time I’m in the market for just some great general athletic shoes. And the other Zumba pair that I thought were cute were so slick on the bottom I couldn’t even walk through my house. So, I ended up with these – and I really do like them!
Noonday Earrings – I received these for Christmas (because someone loves me and shops my wishlist!) and I wear them with just about everything. I was a little nervous about how they would look with my particular style of hair, because all the gals in the Noonday pics have long, flowy, gorgeous hair and mine..is…well. It’s a faux hawk. Nothin long and flowy over here. But they actually look really great and have given me the confidence to try some other big earring styles I didn’t think I could pull off! I think I’ll be adding these and these to my wishlist next.
Listen
I need some good tunes in my life, y’all. Send me your recommendations for your favorite new songs, podcasts, whatever! This category seems to be the hardest for me each week because my work time is spent listening to nothing, having a show play in the background (which I usually include in my “watch”) section, a podcast, or in the after work hours, listening to my 3-going-on-angsty-teenager toddler simultaneously whining and talking. Or just whining. Sometimes giggling. But lots of fits lately.
Your Turn!

Love, love, love the noonday style earrings!!!
I signed up for Propel magazine, and then promptly forgot what the heck it was when I was cleaning out my inbox. Thanks for the reminder! Time to go pilfering through the electronic trash for it. Have a great weekend, and thanks again for giving us a glimpse into what the “cool kids” like these days. ; )

As a Zumba faithful I feel like I should have known there is such a thing as Zumba shoes.
Oh, so fun! I was working on a post with some favorite things so here’s hoping I can finish it and participate in the link-up. Regardless, I have to say I’m LOVING the print you made above. Had no idea it was yours but it’s been one of my favorites in circulation as of late.
Great post, Crystal!
That print is so funny – no one knew it was mine except me 😉 I kind of love that. And yes! Please come back and link up whenever your post is ready – I’m having such fun reading them!
Loving the option to link up an Instagram favorite thing 🙂 I’ve been squeezing lemons into my water like mad this week, and my water intake has more than doubled. Cheers to that!
Loving your blog, Crystal! You inspire me to keep at all the things. xoxo
Oh I keep seeing that drinking a glass of water with lemon first thing in the morning (then waiting to have coffee until around 9) is so good for you! Will definitely be trying that 🙂
I love this link-up. 🙂 And thanks for inspiring me to try a pair of big earrings…I’ve avoided them for the same reason. (But they’re so darn cute…it’s time to be brave!) How are you, friend? I miss you. (((hugs)))
Yay! Definitely try them 🙂 You’ll look super cute with them – and I miss you, too!
