Today I’m sharing 10 favorites I think you might enjoy – as usual, affiliate links are included. Happy Friday!

1 Peter: A Living Hope in Christ – This new study from Jen Wilkin arrived in the mail this week and I can’t wait to dig into it. As I’ve been reading through “Fervent” for the (in)courage book club, the topic of “identity” has been on my heart. I want to know that I know who I am in Christ. What it means to be made in God’s image. So that when the noise of the internet tries to make me doubt it, I see the lie for what it is. Jen’s study walks us through the book of 1 Peter to explore our identity as believers in Christ, spends several chapters on submission, and wraps up with what it means to truly be clothed in humility. From start to finish you read the entire book of 1 Peter nine times – I love that!
Looking for Lovely – Two summers ago I read Annie Down’s “Let’s All Be Brave” in two days at the beach. Annie has a way of drawing you into a story and touching your heart before you’ve even realized what happened. Her new book does the same – I couldn’t put it down or stop sending Annie messages to just get the heck out of my head already. Nearly every page is highlighted and folded over – with a big star beside this quote: “I have learned that to be all grace is to be lay but to be all perseverance is to be judgmental.” Be sure to preorder this one!
Brave Girls: Beautiful You – We love the Brave Girls books in our house. In fact, we might have one that should have been returned to our church library a few weeks ago. Oops. Since I’m on my own kick to learn about my identity in Christ, this new 90 day devotional for girls is exactly what I was looking for to read with Madi. With characters she loves and lessons I want her to learn, this devo is a fun, interactive way to teach our girl what true beauty is – and what it’s not – so she can grow up to be comfortable in her own skin, exactly as God made her. Probably more suitable for the tween crowd, I think it will be a blessing for us to go through this book, and the activities, together.
Glimmer Girls: A Dolphin Wish – We absolutely loved the first Glimmer Girls book we read by Natalie Grant, so we were excited to get another one. This time, the girls are back from London and solving a new mystery in San Diego. While I don’t love that these 10 year old girls have a tendency to scheme their way into running away from their parents, it does lend itself to a good teaching moment with the kiddo. And we love that these are as educational as they are fun to read – and they portray a God-loving family and stories that I enjoy as much as Madi does. Always a bonus for kids books!
Watch
Legends of Tomorrow – I’m a big nerd who loves a cheesy comic book show. It’s true. Arrow, The Flash, Daredevil, Jessica Jones (don’t judge…I know…), Agent Carter, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. – I watch them all. And I’m currently LOVING Legends of Tomorrow. All my favorite characters from a lot of those other shows? Time travel? A Doctor Who character as the captain? Yes, please. And now I really need to get myself this Captain Cold Funko POP figure because YES.
War Room – If you’re joining me for the (in)courage book club and reading “Fervent” I highly recommend watching War Room before we’ve finished the book. It brings the idea of these prayer strategies to life in a powerful way and I promise you’ll fall in love with Ms. Clara.

Illustrated Faith – I’m really enjoying the Illustrated Faith line at DaySpring.com! I’m not really a great Bible journaler – I do ok if I can use a few ideas for inspiration but coming up with my own makes me too afraid to start. I’m not good at handlettering or drawing, but I do love all the cute things that come with the Illustrated Faith kits, so I do my best! The brand new kit for this month is now available and you can check it out here.
Doctor Who Coloring Book – Combine my love for Doctor Who into my love for coloring books and this thing is a WIN! Plus it’s less than $10 on Amazon right now, so that’s awesome.
– It’s not too late to join me! A group of us are committing to working out for 22 minutes a day for 8 weeks, using Tony Horton’s boot camp style workout program. We start Monday so let me know today if you’d like to join us, or.
Snapfish Blanket – Right now SnapFish has some great deals on their photo gifts. My favorite are the fleece blankets for just $27.99! But if that’s not your thing, if you’re a new customer you can save 40% on anything else you order when you use this link.

Ooh, I need to get that Jen Wilkin study! I loved Sermon on the Mount – I’ve always found it a bit daunting to understand, but she made it real and applicable. And I can’t wait for Monday!!
