Friday was the official kickoff of our roles in CrimsonDoor Ministry – and it was fantastic! The band was invited to lead worship at Salem UB’s mission night, and it was so inspiring to hear the students sharing about their recent trip to Nicaragua. The band sounded amazing, and I had the opportunity to speak with a few people about Compassion and the great work they do. Praise God!
I was thinking yesterday about the incredible way that God worked over the past 3 months:
Matt & I were asked to be part of CDM on New Years Eve, with the assumption that I would begin helping with some marketing stuff and Matt would take over on bass after Josh left for college in August.
I started working on some marketing stuff, new logos, new website, etc. while Matt went to a couple CDM rehearsals. The very first rehearsal, Matt played bass with the band because Josh was sick.
Due to some stuff that had happened before we joined CDM, one of the members left to pursue another ministry, and Josh decided to stay in town for college.
So, even though we thought that Matt would be waiting for about 8 months to really take over his role in the band, Josh stepped in to help run sound & fill the unexpected need, and Matt was able to play bass in his first show on Friday!
God’s timing is perfect. Even when we don’t think it is, or are impatient, or want something done differently, God’s way is always the best way.
